The nomenclature is large, technical, updated every year. Searching it manually takes time. Finding a code in a spreadsheet or ageing software is often the same thing with less flexibility.
Tariff8AI was created so that professionals can get the right code quickly — with the explanation that lets them validate the result with confidence.

Transparency above all
A decision-support tool is worthless without transparency. That is why Tariff8AI always explains why it proposes a code — not just which one. The professional must understand the reasoning to be able to validate or reject it.
The professional stays responsible
Tariff8AI does not claim to replace customs expertise. It handles the most time-consuming part of the work — searching the nomenclature — so the professional can focus on what only they can do: evaluate, validate, decide.
Official data, not approximations
Our results are built on the official nomenclatures published by the European Commission and national customs authorities. No in-house taxonomies, no recoding. The code you receive is the official code, extracted from the source.
This architecture has a direct consequence: Tariff8AI cannot return a code that does not exist in the nomenclature. The search runs against a database built exclusively from official headings — no LLM code generation, no approximations.
Built for people who actually work
Tariff8AI is designed for freight forwarders, import/export managers, customs brokers — not for data scientists. The interface must be understandable without training, and results usable immediately.
Where we are today
Tariff8AI is in production. The French Combined Nomenclature 2025 is available today. The European TARIC (French and English) is planned for Q1 2026.
We work in priority on what our users ask us for. If you have a specific need — a missing nomenclature, a feature, an integration — we want to hear it.
